Florida Grapefruit & Honey Cottage Cheese Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 thick slice of high-quality sourdough bread
  • 100 g full-fat cottage cheese
  • ½ Florida Grapefruit
  • 1-2 tsp liquid honey (to taste)
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Pink peppercorns
  • Black (Kampot) pepper
  • Optional: a pinch of flaky salt

Instruction

  1. Peel the Florida Grapefruit and separate it into segments. Remove as much of the bitter white membrane as possible.
  2. Toast the sourdough bread until golden and crispy on the outside but still soft inside.
  3. Generously spread the cottage cheese over the warm toast. Place the Florida Grapefruit segments on top.
  4. Drizzle with honey and add a few fresh mint leaves.
  5. Lightly sprinkle with crushed pink peppercorns.
  6. Optional: add a small pinch of flaky salt to enhance the flavors.
